This match is a must-win for both sides so this should be a cracking match. Both teams are well-known for their attacking philosophies so we should have a good open game and with so much at stake goals are expected.
A defeat for Tottenham here would virtually eliminate any possibility of them finishing in fourth and booking a Champions League spot so the motives are there for Harry Redknapp’s men to go out and win the game.
The stakes are just as high for Blackpool albeit for different reasons as they are currently sitting just above the drop-zone only being kept out of it on goal difference. A win against Tottenham would be a massive victory for Ian Holloway’s side and could be vital if they are to survive in the Premier League.
The big favourites are Tottenham and nobody really expects Blackpool to win but over the course of the season they have pulled off a number of shock results and with the brand of football that they play they are always capable of scoring goals. Defence does look like a weak spot for Tottenham and Blackpool could capitalise on that.
It is also worth noting that Blackpool have already beaten Tottenham this season at home so they know they have what it takes to take all three points against Spurs.
